I’ve been incredibly interested in Britney’s slowly tarnishing image circa 2002. I truly believe Justin trashing Britney was when the tide turned and America really didn’t hold back on our girl. Here’s some articles I found.
|Limp Bizkit front man Fred Durst says Britney Spears wore a see-through shirt to seduce him on their first night together.
Now this one, Probably fake, I can’t find any truth to this anywhere. Link
“No joy for Britney: She’s dropped from Pepsi”
The poor girl’s barely had time to get over her breakup with dream boat Justin Timberlake, and now Britney Spears is getting the heave-ho from Pepsi.
After two years as the company’s spokeswoman, 21-year-old Spears is being replaced by Destiny’s Child R&B diva Beyonce Knowles.
The company didn’t have much to say about Spears, except that it won’t renew her contract – estimated at $10 million – when it expires at the end of the month.
Worse, she’s lost her good-girl image. First, she was caught ordering a Coke, then she was spotted smoking a cig. And by her own hinting she seems to have broken her vow to stay a virgin until marriage. link
The reason this was bolded because I find it incredibly interesting also that Britney’s virginity was the TALK OF AMERICA, but this will be another article.
“Britney Cuts Short Mexico Concert”
It’s been a strange week for Britney Spears. The pop princess got heat for flashing a universally recognized finger sign shortly after she landed at Mexico City’s airport last week (she later said the finger was meant for annoying paparazzi, not fans). But even stranger, according to a report from Reuters, Spears, 20, let the fizz out of her Pepsi-sponsored world tour by cutting short her final performance Sunday night at Mexico City’s Foro Stadium, blaming rain showers. She was booed by the 52,000-strong crowd, given that she stopped singing midway through her fifth song, “Stronger,” and then left the stage, saying only, “I’m sorry Mexico. I love you. Bye,” according to a report in the local daily newspaper Milenio, Reuters notes. Some concert attendees started tossing Britney paraphernalia at her and chanting “fraud, fraud,” the newspaper reported. The backers of the concert, OCESA, issued a statement Monday, saying that Sunday night’s thunderstorm and lightning posed a significant enough safety concern to cancel the show after so brief a performance. OCESA also said it would offer full refunds for those who desired them, beginning this Thursday (ticket prices ranged from $14 to $190). Spears was also quoted in the statement as saying, “The Mexican fans are some of the best in the world. However, for the security of my company and the audience, as well as for the show’s quality, I had to suspend my performance.” Link
Lastly but not least, I just wanted to leave these images here. Hope to see you all next blog post x
